Manchmal wird Lepiota elaiophylla als Synonym für Lepiota xanthophylla interpretiert. Einige Autoren halten L. elaiophylla für eine Varietät von L. xanthophylla. Bei dem abgebildeten Fund erscheinen die Lamellen im Exsikkat olivgrün, was eher für L. elaiophylla sprechen soll.
